I’ve always been encouraged to be involved in sports from a young age. In high school I played basketball competitively for multiple clubs, with netball and cricket on the side.

For a long time, I didn’t quite know the direction I wanted to go in but I always knew I wanted to be in sporting team environment since it had always played a huge role throughout my childhood. Coaching is also a passion of mine, as I had experience coaching juniors’ basketball, so I begun a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation at AUT to chase this goal.

At the beginning of my degree, I quickly learnt that I wanted to do a different style of coaching and it was heavily influenced by health and fitness. So, at the end of my first year I chose to do a double major in Sport and Exercise Science, and Nutrition with the idea of being a Strength and Conditioning Coach in mind. However, I also sought after a well-rounded understanding of the sport and recreation industry and decided to add a minor in management to my degree.

I am now going into my third and final year of my degree and really enjoying applying the knowledge I have learnt to the gym and helping people along the way.

I aim to use my passion for strength and conditioning to help clients reach their fitness goals and become more confident in the gym.

When I’m not working or studying you will definitely find me playing sports, diving or walking on the beach.
